Does anyone know why it takes so long for Itouch to download tv episodes? - itouch downloads

I just got a iTouch and love Gray's Anatomy, so I decided to buy two parts of an episode, to be there. I started this about 10:00 last night and it is now almost 10.00 clock, and perhaps half. Simply upload the episode and then again in high definition. Only one of the two "parties" has been completely erased. Why is this so?
